Studio Open House

In honor of Black History Month, Andrew Kilgore has transformed his studio into a gallery to exhibit a collection of 38 prints called “Black Women Being Seen, Part One." His studio at 527 S. Block Ave. Fayetteville, AR 72701 will be open from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday afternoons through February for visitors to experience this new collection.

After 50 years of advocacy through photography, Andrew has come to this conclusion:

"The more I talk the less I see. When I really care about someone, I meet them in stillness and quiet. I try to be open and attentive to the real person in front of me. Then we both play a small part in helping to create a world in which we survive and thrive together.

And so, I hope you will come and look at these pictures and tell me what you see, and think, and feel.”
